Headache? Brain Cancer?

Headache? Brain Cancer?
My Grandma has a terrible headache since the last week. She suffered of breast cancer for three years but now she?s okay. She?s really worried because she thinks she might have brain cancer now? She had had lots of chemotherapies and radiations three months ago. I mean it?s nearly unbelievable to have a metastasis on the brain since she?s been under so many cancer therapies the last months. Anyway, she?s using some eye drops since the last week cause she had a surgery at her left eye cause of cataract. Her headaches are really painful, not normal. Please have you got any ideas about what is it? She?s going to have health tests but I?m just asking for some information.
Anril, I didn?t say that she had breast cancer three years ago. I said that she had breast cancer for three years. The third year of her disease ended three months ago when she had her last cancer therapy.

Of course anything is a possibility, but I have to ask, is this headache concentrated on one side of her head. The reason I ask is because I suffer from terrible migraines and they can last for many days unless medication is used. Before anyone jumps to conclusion, she should see a Neurologist. The Neurologist will probably order and MRI of her brain to see what the problem is. She shouldn?t let this go because when we get older and things like this happen, there are a lot of things to take into consideration, A possible stroke because of a blood clot. No, I?m not saying this is what?s a happening but all things have to be considered which is why she should call a doctor like yesterday. That combined with eye surgery could be a warning. Please tell her not to self treat and if necessary, take her to the ER, In fact, she should do that and the heck with calling to make an appointment. First call her Dr and tell her/him she is going to the ER because of this. Do it now. OK. Good luck and I hope your grandma feels better soon.

I don?t think someone who had breast cancer 3 years ago is going to be in chemo and radiation 3 months ago? That doesn?t happen, unless the cancer is still be treated to keep it from progressing. But it still wouldn?t be more radiation treatment. And if she?s been on chemo that long, it means her cancer is still progressing, so yes, it could metastasize to the brain. Now, if you mean breasts scans and tamoxifan, that?s more believeable and she would still be on the medication for a couple more years and still continue to get scans. Her headache pain could possibly be from her eye surgery.

And I answered for both circumstances. Some do go on long term chemo, lower dose, if breast cancer is recurrent or ongoing, not radiation?
