Account Executive, Small Business-VA Job for Insurance Sales Web ...

Representative of the small business market primarily responsible for selling new health care business. Sales representative focuses on the small business market segment, those customers employing 2 to 99 employees.

1. Identifies potential healthcare business customers.

2. Sells healthcare products to small business (2 to 99 employees) customer, mostly through brokers.

3. Attains regional and health plan goals related to specific targeted healthcare products.

4. Produce sales that result in profitable premium levels for the company.

5. Develops business relationships with customers and brokers/consultants within the small business market.

Strategic Vision
1. Understands company's vision and mission linked to direct application of methods and plans to accomplish sales strategy.
2. Implements strategy and may be team lead to accomplish objectives.

- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 3 years successful sales experience, with a full-range of healthcare products, e.g. Medical and Ancillary, etc.

- Produces sales to employers through brokers.
- Required underwriting, financial and analytical skills.
- Demonstrates success in meeting or exceeding sales performance skills.
- Knowledge of the broker community a plus, but not required.
- Broker or carrier experienced preferred.
- Life/Health insurance license required and must be maintained as required by state law.
- Maintain a valid driver's license.

- Ability to travel as required.
